WANG FU

A couple of weeks ago I bought tickets for my sister and I to go see Wong fu! WOOO! I was actually quite excited because this was their first time coming down to Melbourne and it COULD be their last so I had to go. It was held in Storey Hall at RMIT. For those who don't know who they are...they're producers, they make videos of all types of genres ranging from romance to action to comedy. Check them out here. Wong fu productions is a three man team but unfortunately Ted Fu couldn't make it due to personal reasons which is a shame cos it wasn't the same without him. The show was suppose to start at 6:30pm according to the ticket but it actually started an hour later. My sister and I arrived at around 5:20ish and there was already a line plus it was raining as well. We got into the hall at around 6:50ish. The event was very poorly organised, once we got into the hall people just pushed their way to the front of the door leading to the room where we were suppose to be seated. Therefor the people who lined up first outside in the rain was pushed back. Anyway, once we got in VIPs had priority seating and everyone else sat like 7ish rows of chairs after them. I was at a decent place, the hall wasn't really big anyways. The show lasted for about 1.5 hours, it was very inspirational. Wes and Phil were entertaining, they interacted a lot with the audience as well. Throughout the show they played some videos that they have produced so far (Kung Fooled, Shell and Wang Lee Hom's MV) and new ones as well that haven't been uploaded. I had fun but felt like it was kinda rushed. If they do come back I'll definitely go again. After the show, I walked my sister to Flinders and waited for her train as she was going home and I was going to stay out for a friend's sister's birthday. She had her birthday at a bar/club called "Randy Dragon" on Flinders Lane. The interior was nice but it was also quite small. They had cheap drinks as well, 2 for $15 cocktails and shots for $5 after midnight. The one thing that kinda annoyed me about that place is their repetitive music. I swear I heard J-lo's get right like five times! Stayed there til 3am and caught a taxi home with Chris and Tina. Image and video hosting by TinyPic
